I have a 1.5 gal bowl (white one) with baby dwarf lotus plant, a couple of mangrove pods (not in pic) and I'm going to add some marimo moss. It has a 11.5" diameter and is 4" tall. What can live in here? Can I keep shrimp? I'd really like to put 3 kuhli loaches even though I know it's a bad idea...with daily 20% water changes? Guppies are boring. My other issue is how to heat. Air line is unavoidable and clear so I can deal but I really don't want a black cord sticking out. Can I use a reptile under tank heater? The reptile under tank heater specifically states not to use if there's any water in the tank. Even if I do used a small under gravel heater I'm afraid of overheating. Or no heater? Room temp is kept ~75-78 F.
The clear tank is a 5 gal. Same dwarf lotus plants for now. I'm thinking I could get by better with kuhlis here but I already put in the coarse gravel. How about a small school of neons and a small shoal of dwarf corys? There's a lot of swim space even though only 5gal. This has a 15" diameter and is 7" high. Or I think bumble bee gobys would be fun but I hear they're hard to feed so I would still need another bottom feeder.
