10 gallon betta tank

My stepmom have me her old 10 gallon tank with a glass top. It had gravel, slate and white river rocks. I tore down one of my 5.5 gallon tanks and dumped the gravel from that into the new(old) 10 , swapped over the filter, light and heater and the plants and wood. I am dividing it and ordered a black divider so the bettas don’t see each other. Going to order a background for it shortly.

The divider I had ordered to divide the tank had came in and I installed it. It allows for water to flow through but the bettas won’t be able to see each other. Tank is growing algae which is a good thing I think. Current inhabitant is an ivory mystery snail. I’ll post later test results once I test the water.

Nice tank! I should be able to set up my tank for my betta I should be able to order tomorrow or on Monday from eBay. Ordered some MTS today too as the substrate I’m gonna have with my betta sand

I should be able to add bettas in a dew days. Added some floaters to the tank and plan to do a water change tomorrow.

Looking into getting two giant bettas. I already have them picked out just have to wait till payday to order them.

These are the bettas I will be getting. One is a super red and the other is called Armageddon, both are Halfmoon Giant bettas.

Going to check petco tomorrow before work and see if they have anything nice, especially King bettas. If not I’ll order these guys.
