My father is dead set on me using this ten gallon tall glass drum as a fish tank. I have no idea WHY, but I'd like to convince him otherwise. The thing is tall. I don't personally think that it's useful as a tank.
What do you guys think? I'd like to get some suggestions as to whether or not it might actually be usable.

11.25" diameter, 23.75" tall. I'd bleach it if I could use it, but my dad tried to use it to ferment olives. Didn't work out.

Lightly stocked it could work. Especially with plants.

Sounds interesting. What was it's original intended purpose? Got pics?

Maybe use it as an invert tank? Some live plants and a colony of cherry shrimp would be be nice. It doesn't really have much of a footprint, I'm not sure I'd even recommend a betta for it.

plant it with vals, stick an airline down in it, put a spotlight above it, toss in a couple little snails and some endlers or heterandria formosa.

It used to be... like, a large test tube. We've had it for....nearly 30 years I think.
An invert tank is actually a really cool idea. I want cherry shrimp. I think I might do that with it. Wow, I really didn't think I could do anything with it.
....But my dad won't let me put it anywhere but my room unless it has something other than shrimp in it. He wants more levels. Ugh.

Would a killifish be okay in there? I remember them not minding small spaces but i wonder if it would be too deep?
