I have an established 10 gallon planted tank with 3 Peaceful Bettas and some snails in it. What can I put in with them?

Can I fit any other fish in with them? I was thinking about maybe some Bleeding Heart Tetras. Any thoughts?

Bleeding hearts get a little big for a 10g. How about some cherry barbs?

I read that Barbs require at least 30 gallons and the white clouds have to be in schools. I can't fit many fish into a 10 gallon tank that is already a little more than half full. I don't know enough about shrimp, so I'd rather stay away from them. I wanted to try an ADF but I read that they can be a little tough for beginners, so I will wait on that. If I have to just keep the 3 Bettas in the tank with some snails, I'll do that, but I was hoping to add a little something else to look at. I was considering the Bleeding Heart Tetras because I wanted a different body shape. If they won't work I was also thinking of adding a couple Sparkling Gouramis since I will be buying them for my 20 gallon tank anyway.

ADF's are fun and very comic. My pair have discovered that they can wedge themselves between the glass and thermometer and climb to the top. Then they float around on the top, sometimes for an hour or more. Pretty fun :)

To feed just get some bloodworms and place at the bottom near the frogs, they'll find em. ;)

If I recall correctly, you should not put bettas and gouramis in the same tank, especially such a small one. They are related and may nip at one another. Also, wouldn't you be crowding the top area since they are both surface breathers?

The adf sounds neat :)

If you want a few schooling fish, try 3 harlequin rasboras -- very peaceful, colorful, and will school in a group of 3. Mid water swimmers that will explore the tank.

I have 3 in my 10 gallon with 3 zebra danios, 1 oto, 1 male betta, and some cory cats. It's an active, fun to watch tank. I also maintain it very regularly since it's fully stocked.

Just my two cents :)
