id like to make my 10 gallon upgrade for my betta a riparium. the whole reason id like to is bc every time i do a water change on a tank i love the way it looks half full. the plants ive been thinking about are pothos vines and bacopa carolina thats been it so far haha. i cant think of anything else i could use that'd stick out of the water. right now i have crypt wendetti, a lily bulb that grows a lot everyday, and a banana plant that isn't doing good anymore (its just started loosing it leaves for some reason). i have a couple of questions though
1. do i need filteration with the plants and just the betta? it'll probably be a dirt tank.
2. what kind of lighting should i use? right now i just have a regular flourescent hood that grows plants pretty well.
3. how do i propogate my pothos bc right now i have a pretty large one in my room.
also pictures of 10 gallon ripariums would be cool if anybody has any.

I found it locally here in Indiana. I believe it is Sagittaria sagittifolia. It makes for an awesome riparium plant.

talk to this guy here... http://www.vivariumforum.com/community/vbclassified.php?do=ad&id=90

he's a good guy that will more than likely be willing to help. chances are you'll wind up with one of those alocasias.

the pothos, i'd avoid for a 10. thick vine with large leafs will either overshadow the whole tank or not create enough cover and the vines won't look right.

ill be ordering a riparium pack with some plants from hydrophyte soon, ill post pics when i have it up. do yall think a CPO would climb out of a riparium?
