I was breeding shrimp in my 10 gallon planted tank, but 3 months after having no problems at all at a 100% survival I had 30 shrimp die within a week for something unknown and my shrimp population dropped to 0.. I'm not doing shrimp again because of this.

I have some snails in the tank now with low light plants and I was wondering what type of fish might be cool to put in a 10 gallon tank?

My pH is 7.6

Is there any cool fish I could put in this tank?
I'm not just trying to stock the tank with a fish to fill a void, I'm interested in something special I might not know about that would be a nice addition to my tank.

Any suggestion?

Maybe some Killifish?

Celestial Pearl Danios. Lots of talk about them on these forums lately. I would love to have a few of these in a small tank and try to breed them.

I'm actually going to be getting 6 or 7 of these fish for my 29 gallon tank, I think these might be my new favorite fish as they are the coolest fish I ever seen.
They remind me of brook trout

you could have a small school of pygmy cories (they stay small), a few guppies, a betta, inverts, or even just a single specimen if you have a tank to move him too when he gets too big.

think of the 1 gallon per inch of fish rule (dont follow it to the T, but use it as a guideline). you could have your choice of MANY different fish. ask at your LFS what stays small, and pick one :)

I'm doing dwarf puffers in mine. :) Possibly with some ottos. They like planted tanks too, so I think that would be a cool idea.

If I had another 10 gallon though I'd do some platies. I'm not a big live bearer fan, but platies are pretty cool.
