100 gallon tank

hi, my dad has a 100 gallon tank with 7 goldfish. i was wondering what kinds of plants should he put in the tank

Do they have to be live plants, plastic would be better for gold fish, there are some very nice ones nowdays.......

It is doubtful the plants would last long with the goldies.

i have about 300 black convict fry in my other tank and when they grow up i put them there
(1 oscar
2 JDs
3 or 4 fire mouths
rams and kribs)
