looks like it'll be awesome. May want to consider how much pressure your retention frame is putting on the acrylic...you'll want a significant amount since the silicone won't actually bond to it from what I understand (haven't tried it myself, just saw it on another thread). If you aren't going to get into it anyways once it's in place, you may want to just do the decor before the big lift and then mount on the inside in order to simplify. You risk having a few things get out of place and have a heavier lift, but you could probably make some custom tools that'll let you move stuff around inside the tank once it's in place. Good luck with it all and sorry to hear about the ankle...I feel for you on that one!

I have also heard that most silicones dont bond well with acrylics. Thats being said I built a 360G 20 years ago that was lined with 1/4" acrylic with a 1/2" viewing window that was sealed with silicone and it worked fine. I recently built an acrylic 48x18 sump for a 220 Reef tank that was also sealed with silicone. I have heard good things about Dow 795 silicone that is recommended for use with acrylics.

Well, obviously I have been neglecting this thread. I will admit I have been busy with life in general.

I needed to change direction & convert this to a 120g in-wall to finish up in time for my daughters graduation party.. Below are a few photos of the progress & finished product.

Just working on the filter system, pump and in-line heater arrived in the mail. have to paint the overflow pipe & let it cure.. Just installed the background this evening. & the light went in over the weekend.

Much praises to "Marina, Clear-View" background adhesive. never used an adhesive before, but it looks awesome. I love how you can see the image on the sides, rather than the normal "mirror" issue you often get with the sides.

Threw some decorations from my 55g just to take up space, but they are too small. Will need to get some more LARGER pieces..
