10g Planted

Slappy my friend, always good to hear from you. What I love about your tank is its simplicity. You have four groups of plants with some cryps and thats it. Each compliments the other well and you have contrast in shape and color and room for it to grow. It doesn't look over crowded or underplanted. Very nice job.

Thanks Robert. :) Some of those plants are yours. ;)

No worries. CO2 isn't always necessary at that light level, though it certainly would help with any growth issues you're experiencing. The effects on pH is negligible, especially with DIY. Fish don't suffer from pH swings as much as you'd think. Osmotic shock is the real culprit, and CO2 has no effect on that.
DIY CO2 is easy to setup and if eventually you do try it and see results, you may even go pressurized. :)

Thanks. Maybe I'll look more into it.

Update: I removed the driftwood and put it in my 55G tank. It seemed a little big for this tank and crowded the scape somewhat. The plants have more room to grow and spread now and the fish have more swimming room. I may eventually put in something smaller and branchy in the future but I think it does look better this way.

Slappy this proves that bigger isn't always better. I've been looking to supersize past my current 55G but don't have a good place in the house for it. Your 10G makes it obvious that this would be a much more cost effective way to do something different and stick with plants! Thanks for the inspiration, your tank is fantastic!

Thanks everyone. :)
Mellow, I liked the look of the wood, too. I'll put something smaller in there for sure.
