12-Aug-03 - Flowerhorn Liplocking pics

In that post, I forgot to congratulate Gordeez on the great pix! My bad...and you're good (with the camera...as always!)

Chil, actually, when people wanna make fast money, LFS does post Trimac as FH. Remember, FH is more expensive than Trimac. Also, there are many LFS who just don't know much about Trimac and FH. Have seen plenty of LFS that will post"FH Trimac" on a fish.

i trust CHILLDAWG on this 1 bkuz he is very experienced and has never given bad info and that GORDEEZ is right he seems to know his fish and his FHs also.

Never seen that and have only heard the reverse...but I trust peifc on this one. I'll just hold my tongue on that then because I can see people doing that if that's where the money is...I just never knew that the money was in FHs rather than Trimacs.

:D There are FH that goes for $2000 (sometimes more), full grown with big hump and bright colors. As for Trimac...it is hard to get fish, but I've never seen Trimac that goes for $2000. If you go to www.aquabid.com , you will find some FH that is already going for $1000. It is nutty, but there are nutty people out there who wanna buy an expensive fish like that.

If I have the money like that, I rather go for a red Arowana (which is illegal to buy today) then a man made fish. Just my opinion :D

i know i would much rather have a trimac than a FH, and even tho ive seen very expensive FH in stores ive never even seen a trimac probably bkuz they are being sold as FH if jsut makes business sense but not hobby sense. i have seen FH that look almost exactly like trimacs, maybe it was a trimac but it was $1200USD in an LFS in los angeles,CA. but we will never know.

I concur. I'm not a hybrid fan, so I'd rather have a Trimac...but I'd rather have an O first (and Lord knows that most of them are hybrids...)

No offense, Gordeez, and I apologize for posting that opinion in your thread. You have beautiful fish, and I definitely wouldn't mind having them, no matter what they are! :D
