I upgraded the lighting to a double strip Hagen GLO t5 HO and it's really making my plants grow faster. No co2 on this setup.

Very nice shots!

I love the bichirs. gotglock, senegal bichirs can be kept with large angelfish that they cant eat.

Amazing tank! What's the species of the fish that's canoodling with the bichirs in the 14th pic? That's a great shot!!

This is a first... Angels AND Bichirs?

maybe the first on AC, but not the first time this has been done. I even had a 14" congicus in there, never touched the angels.

Glad you like them. It's not only sens that are save with angelfish. Most polypterids are fine with them, maaayyybe the larger species would eat them if they are freshly imported, but a large speciment that is adapted to prepared foods poses little threat to an adult angelfish. They are opportunistic and they do stop eating when full, so a well fed adult bichir doesn't care to chase down an angelfish or ambush attack it when it can get an easy meal for less energy. There are papers written on this subject, 'Handling time ecology' or something like that.
