I have updated. I have removed the staples from the driftwood. And tie them off with fishing string. Thank you for all your help. I will update every month with new pic. thank you critters

What lighting are you using ? I am thinking about , well , it will probably be started as far as lighting goes on Sat, setting up my 120 with live plants. I have a bunch of metal halide stuff left over from my reef days.Might as well put it to good use.

The lighting is 8 4 foot fluorescent. Total watts per gallon is about three. ph <6.8> k<7> temp <77> fertilizer is Flourish. Keep my nitrate about 15.

Yes you can use a few staples as you have. They are so small that any rust will not be a problem. I have used a staple or two in tanks which have since been running fine for years.

I hate fishing line, it is a pita to tie. i prefer using either black nylong wire ties or waxed (unflavored) dental floss. Both of these will last until you cut them off. The floss is white and does show more than the wire ties. Also, if you have plecos, be carefull using floss ans they can get themselves tangled up in it.
