125 gal tank, stand, equipment in Rhode Island

Hi,

I have a 125 gallon (6' long) tank, homemade stand (oak finish), hood (real oak) with fluorescent lights, filters (aquaclear 500, magnum 350 pro system), 2 ebo-jager heaters (300 watt?), and maybe a few other odds and ends. Due to the size/weight, I can't ship this so you need to be able to pick it up.

It was only used for about 3 years, and is empty at the moment. I live in Rhode Island. Email me if you would like to see this or want a couple of pictures at nathananderin@hotmail.com.

Here's a bit more about the tank. It has no cracks and has never leaked.

The tank was purchased (All Glass? Brand I think?) in October 1999. I broke it all down a couple months after my second child turned 6 months in January, 2003. Only used a bit more than 3 years. It was just a bit much to take care of at that point. Since then, it has been in my sister-in-law's basement in storage.

The stand was built based on modified plans from www.thekrib.com I modified plans there from a 55 gallon plan. It is 2x4 construction, doubled in each corner and center of the front and back. Over this is a decent(AC?) grade plywood stained with an oak finish. It has an overlap on the top of the stand to cover the wood grain of the plastic frame of the tank.

The canopy (and stand doors) are made of 1” (actual dimension) red oak with a clear finish to match the stain. The inside of the canopy is painted with an oil base white paint with polyurethane to withstand water contact. The unusual change I made when I built the stand is that it is 36” high (normal stands are 30”). I did this to set it closer to eye level.

It currently is configured with 240 watts normal fluorescent fixtures (3 double 40 watt bulb fixtures [6 40watt bulbs]) and a spotlight (I used a halogen spotlight) on the right side. It has room for more, and when I built it I had 315 watts normal fluorescent plus a 50 watt spotlight. At one point I removed a 15 watt fluorescent fixture and a 3 bulb fixture which had 3 20 watt compact fluorescent screw in bulbs in it, mainly to save on my electric bill.

The pictures are shown with a setup that I used a couple years back, with a right to left water flow for a river tank feel, with overfiltration used. I had used powerheads with plumbing buried in the gravel with the intakes on the left side of the tank.
