125 gallon aquarium

Heavily planted tank then some lovely Neon tetras. Imagine a big school of these brightly colored fellas will look so awesome. Gouramis are good too!

A group of 5 pitbull plecos and a big school of corys would be awesome for the bottom. I would do a good sized school of bosemani or dwarf rainbows for the schooling fish, or perhaps a GIANT school of cpds or another "nano" fish. Could be awesome but also quite expensive.

There's something to be said for not heavily planting the 125, as it going to cost a ton of money to get it looking nice IME. I'd personally do a coldwater tank with a bunch of goby species, weather loaches, a pair of sunfish and a massive school of White cloud mountain minnows.

Yeah I'm setting this up for the Baylon Jr/Sr High school so it's ultimately up to the main science teacher but I should have some say in it...Too be continued!

Well, you've got to know what you're going to get from me !!! LOL
A 125 gal tank would be absolutely ideal for discus.

Someone earlier mentioned getting a group of discus (and I would suggest 10 or 12 good-sized ones), along with a large school of Cardinal Tetras, which sounded like a great idea to me. Add 10 or so Cories, in a light to medium planted environment, and I think you would have an awesome-looking tank !

Think of it, and as food for thought, picture what your discus tank (which is almost twice the size of mine), could look like with a group of single strain discus of your color preference, or a mixed variety, like mine below:

Hope I've generated at least a little interest.
