125 gallon?

i just purchased a 125 gal tank it is 72 in long. i already have a aquaclear 500 to use i was wondering what my best filter choice to go with this is.

If money is no object with you.

Go with an Eheim 2028. I have one running no with an AC 500. The 2028 is the Cadillac of filters IMO.


If you want a good filter for less a Rena XP3 would be the way to go. Rena has really improved their filters over the last couple of years and are putting out a great product now.

Ditto as Scott said. If you're really looking to get out cheap, go with another AC500 at least.
