Wow. Great set-up! I think you need some more fish though!

lol I knew someone was going to say something.
I plan on having 20-25 maybe even 30 of those guys in there but atm that is all the wife would authorize. I'm planning on buying 2or 3 new fish every payday till I get it stocked fully. I'll add new caves and new rockwork when I add the new fish and continually build the the tank for the next couple months.

your not going to believe me but I got those little guys at the apex petsmart. They weren't from the "assorted cichlids" tank either they actually have a great selection and the young lady i spoke with knew her cichlids.

Great looking tank! You put a lot of research, heart and hard work into it. You should be proud! BTW - cichlids love sand. You made the right choices right down the line. I even like your color scheme for the stand and hood. Thanks for sharing!

lots of vinegar and a metal putty knife I sharpened on a grinder. Just scraped and scraped and scraped.

So I got my New fish this morning. I added some flower pots for temp caves until I can go out and get myself some nice rocks this weekend. I'm hoping I can find some cheap slate or something similar. There is a bunch of labs, a couple hybrids (i think they are hybrids), a calvus, a Synodontis catfish, 2 shellies, and a male and female firefish. I had to put the female in a sump compartment until I get a couple other females. The male is way aggressive.
I'll add more pics once I get the rock in this weekend.
