Wouldn't it be easier not to mention less costly if parents would step up and do their jobs?

I don't feel srry for either of them. At that age of course they know about all that kindof stuff, as it is talked about often. How could they be so stupid? I know that it is underage and wrong, but contraception is so freely available that something like that shouldnt happen.
Thats the problem...personal responsibility is lacking today. Parents for what ever reason some good some not so good do not instill strong values in kids.
Even then mistakes happen but its too frequent nowadays.
There is NO shame today when a teen gets pregnant. You see it get proped up by media. I remember girls in my school running around all gitty about being pregnant like it was a great thing. I was thinking what the hell? Do you have NO shame... you cant even take care of yourself but you want a baby for a trophy and havn't even contemplated the burden on yourself, your family, and society if you suck on the welfare nipple.
It drives me nuts... It bothers me as I conflict with my views of individual freedoms and personal responsibility ...people seem to care a lot less about those things it seems.
My parents never talked to me about sex LOL, but I could have asked them too, and I don't know anybodys parents who did. Mine never needed to though. It was talked about so much at school that I feel there was no need.
If those kids were so stupd then it makes you wonder whaqt the parents are like...
My siblings and I have always had the most open relationship with our mother about these types of things. I couldn't imagine if my mother didn't talk to me about these things. I guess that is the great thing about having a flower child of the 70's mother named Twilight
Didnt you feel really awkward? I would have been sooo embarrased. IfI needed to ask a question on sex, I asked my friends at school (I went to an all boys school) and I always got the question answered.
My sister and I have a very open relationship with our mother as well. It's not awkward if you don't make it so. I wish these children had been more enlightened.
I just can't get my head around talking to my Mum about such matters. Maybe it is because I am male and my mother is female (obviously LOL)?

They should be forced to raise this kid on their own without public assistance. They must learn that they cannot just do whatever they want without any thought as to how they are going to deal with the responsibility. Their parents can pitch in, but no public aid. That is rediculous! In my opinion, if you are adult enough to do the deed, then you can get job, finish school and raise your kid!
I have to vent..... I am tired of paying nearly $28,000 in taxes every year to support, amongst many other things, poor people that have nothing better to do than have sex. I am not against the poor nor am I against people that want lots of kids. I am against those that know they do not have the resources to support a child, yet go right ahead and add another one to the list!
This woman that just had (8 or 6) kids at one time is a prime example. She has no job! How does she afford to be artificially inseminated let alone take care of all these kids? I bet your tax dollars are hard at work! Ever wonder what would be on your statement if they itemized where every dollar of your tax money went? I bet we would all be pretty upset by what we saw.
Sorry for the emotional outburst. These stories just poke at my fire of frustration when it comes to these matters!
