I have to vent..... I am tired of paying nearly $28,000 in taxes every year to support, amongst many other things, poor people that have nothing better to do than have sex. I am not against the poor nor am I against people that want lots of kids. I am against those that know they do not have the resources to support a child, yet go right ahead and add another one to the list!

This woman that just had (8 or 6) kids at one time is a prime example. She has no job! How does she afford to be artificially inseminated let alone take care of all these kids? I bet your tax dollars are hard at work! Ever wonder what would be on your statement if they itemized where every dollar of your tax money went? I bet we would all be pretty upset by what we saw.

Sorry for the emotional outburst. These stories just poke at my fire of frustration when it comes to these matters!

I fully understand your rant. Don't get too blinded by the rage you must feel about it. once a child is here we are forced to deal with the reality of the mistake..its already done now.

And I hate public assistance abuse... I do see that we can't as a society/community turn our backs on the kidds born in this type of scenario.

To punish them would also punish the child born...and they deserve better than the situation they were born into.

All i know is prevention on this is not strong enough today. And I feel the same rage about this as you do.
 
At least they didn't do what some young parents have been reported doing.....flush the baby down a toilet, toss it in a trash bin, etc. All because they didn't want to deal with the responsibility or with what society -coughuscough- would think of them.

OK, maybe I need to clarify what I meant about making these kids responsible. These two went in to this knowing full well that they would be OK with a baby without a whole lot of effort. Why? Because society makes it known that if you are broke and have kids, that they have your back due to the fact that you have a child. If you are single or married for that matter with no children and are broke, then you better find a job. That's pretty much how I see things happening. There was a time that I went from making nearly $200,000.00 a year to being unemployed due to contractual issues. When I filed for unemployment they laughed in my face! Now if I had a kid???? Maybe I wouldn't have had as amny laughs, and that's OK.

What needs to happen is a huge turn around (OBAMA) in how easily folks get off the hook for mistakes. I would be more than happy to put my tax dollars toward child care so that these two kids can go to school and get their GED at best and still hold down a job that would allow them to afford diapers, food, medicine, clothes, etc. This is all with the well being of the baby in mind. I think it's a much better way of spending money!

What I have a problem with is paying them welfare so that they can not have a job and sit at home and make more kids. That's what happens. Trust me I have one in my family. They are baby machines, just for this purpose! Oh, and they get free school that neither one of them are intertested in taking advantage of. The system enables this type of activity. It's disgusting!

I don't feel srry for either of them. At that age of course they know about all that kindof stuff, as it is talked about often. How could they be so stupid? I know that it is underage and wrong, but contraception is so freely available that something like that shouldnt happen.

Sorry, I've been at work since I posted this...

I have to agree. I have a 13 year old sister and she knows that she can get condoms or the pill rather easily if she needed it (she assures me she doesn't though) AND I'm told that in Britain it's so much easier to get a hold of.
 
:iagree: I have raised three boys to adulthood and he really looks to be about 9 or 10!
 
It would be dumb of them to lie and say he's older than he is when they'd get better ratings if he actually WAS 9 0r 10
