14g Betta community tank

Sadly my alien betta didn’t survive. Woke up this morning to him dead. He was a pretty fish, it’s just a shame to see him go.

Oh no... I'm so sorry for your loss Its not easy to see your beloved pets go..


The floaters' roots are so awesome! What are they?

I believe the floaters are water lettuce and some frogbit as well.
The alien betta wasn’t doing well when he arrived, the box he arrived in didnt have a heat pack. Thankfully the other two bettas are doing great. They were in freezing cold water.

Its a great plant to have, offers cover for fish. I want more of it.

it happens with shipments. Most times they are fine but sometimes they don’t do well and pass.

I have salvinia in my 33 gallon and it covers half of tank's surface already, I like it and so I will like frog bit and water lettuce as well. I like floaters for their roots tbh.

True, most shipments are vile for the fish.. Most don't, some do survive..

Mt 40 Breeder show tank has stem plants that I forgot what it’s called. It grows so fast that I trim it back 5-6 inches and it grows back in a week. I have to trim it more to fill in the plants in the 14.

i had 5-6 bettas shipped to me and the Alien happened to be the first one to die on me after a few days. I wish they were shipped with tannins in the bag like my giant betta was shipped.

Maybe I could try doing a photo, I could try to ID it, but its hopeless. I'm bad with plants D:

They could be shipped with tannins... To help with damage to the fish and getting infected with bacteria..

this is my 40 Breeder. The plants in the back grow so fast. It started as two bunches 6 months ago.

Yea. It also keeps them relaxed.

Looks to be anacharis or the false anacharis

It’s not either of those. I know it starts with an L but the name leave me. Anacharis is a plant I kill easily and I hate it.
