i have a 15 gallon tank that has just cycled, 24x12x12. the stocking scheme i would like is:
- 1 african butterfly fish
- 5-6 cories
- 4-6 african dwarf frogs

i know the cories and frogs will work, i just have no experience with african butterfly fish. My main concern would be the butterfly fish trying to eat the adf's when they come to the surface to breath. They are known for eating other top-dwelling fish smaller than themselves, and both cories and adf's come to the surface frequently.

well supposively they dont go after cories because they are too large but should i give it a shot with a couple adfs at first since no one really knows?

You could give it a shot. I guess it will depend on the temperament of the butterfly fish, and also how outgoing your adf is. Some adf's like to float at the surface, if it does this, it will probably become a snack. Maybe you could get some floating plants to put in to offer the frog some cover at the water's surface.

I agree... you should have some surface plants anyway for the ABF.

do you think it would be better to add one before the other or at the same time. i was thinking maybe if i added them at the same time they might get used to one another... maybe not
