15 Pound Orange Land Pleco

I actually have 2 of the species; however, it is only the young orange male that goes after the fish tablets. The older female, has never had a problem with this.

I lost a whole package of algae wafers to land plecos, tabbius annoyous. Now I make sure to keep them in the cupboard.

have two of this land plecos, one common orange one black and i do not why but mine are kind of retarded have not understand that there is good food in the living room yet! i'm lucky

I love this thread! So glad somebody resurrected it! And I still have my always hungry and foraging cocker spaniel plecos! We've added some kensfish.com veggie sticks to the diet recently and although there was some concern over how the sticks would change the pooping habit of this naughty pleco, all was well!

Went to feed my pleco the other day, found the container of pleco discs EMPTY and clean.
Apparently it was consumed by the rare orange land pleco, often confused with a common feline:

LOL I thought my cats were the only ones that ate the fish food. I had to hid it in a cabinet because my cats got into my flakes, freeze dried shrimp, and algae wafers. They torn into the containers. Brats!
