Progress:
Got a chance today to cut the stand's dimensional lumber to size.
First, used a miter box (chop) saw - using a stop ensures uniformity:
Next, used a radial arm saw and table saw for cutting the frame's half-lap joints (glue and screw - hard to get a much stronger joint):
All stand stock - still need to cut the half-lap joints in the long stock pieces (ran out of time today). Will hopefully be assembling during the week:
