150 Gallon Build Thread ... From the Start

Nice update! I've been thinking of building a DIY canopy myself for a tank that is a very odd shape. I will use CFLs while painting the insides a glossy white and base the design off of yours.
 
Very nice looking! Looks like you have some intense sanding to do to get the blade burns out. Have you decided on what hardware you will be using on the doors?

Thanks Bob - actually the blade burns come out pretty easy. Really excited to get it all sanded out!

I think we are going to stick with the same hardware we have throughout the house - here's a pic ...

Canopy, sure, I'd build one, but STAND of a tank THAT size? Not me, partner! I'll leave the load bearing structures to the pros, LOL!!

Looks sweet though! :)
 
It is more than adequate for structural strength...
