Wow Coy that is some sweet looking growth! Interesting about the discus... I have never owned them and am a little suprised by the backlash LOL. A centerpiece fish is one way to go or you could go for a really large school.... can't wait to see what you decide!

Yes, the "backlash" (lol) has been a bit of a surprise. Much happier to get it sooner rather than later. The Mrs. and I have been talking about the next additions - - ?????

Thanks for the compliment on my tank Coy. As for yours, it's looking amazing, but... It needs a GBR!

By the way, on a serious note, I'm having a LOUSY time keeping HC rooted in sand, so if/when you start thinking ground cover, I would not go that direction again myself. It just doesn't seem to root deeply enough to stay put. The whiptail cat doesn't help matters either, LOL!

New tank mates - we added 10 Red Line Torpedo Barbs yesterday ...

They are schooling like crazy w/ the rummies and should make great "centerpiece" fish!

Also added 5 rams ...

Kinda shy ...

Growth after 5 weeks (most plants are doing well - still a trial and error process) ...

just read through the whole thing (skipped ahead bit!), amazing is all I can say. Wish I had a house/job/woodwork skills for it to all happen. Just set up my grandad's massive bow front, now I want a proper tank!
