I've been considering filling my 150 gallon tank with a couple of Oscars and was wondering if it would be large enough for 2 Oscars and maybe a couple of other fish? If so, what fish make good tank mates for Oscars?

Thanks

It really depends on the foot print. If it is a 150 gallon tall a 125 gallon would almost be better. Good tankmates would include Convicts, Jack Dempsey, Severums, Firemouths. You could do a couple of Firemouths with the two Oscars. Depends on what you like....go research what you like and we can tell you how it might or might not work.

It's a 150 wide 72 x 18 x 29

I was thinking of maybe a couple of tinfoil barbs or silver dollars and a cat fish of some type.

Ok well in that case you could probably get away with 6 Silver dollars, and 2-3 Synodontis catfish...be careful what Synodontis you put in there some stay small some get huge. That is what I would do.
Or you could do silver dollars and pictus cats 2-3, or a common pleco

Ok, then for filtration and heaters, i was planning on using my Eheim 2128 canister filter and 2 250 watt visi-therm stealth heaters. Does this sound adequate?
