I have been following this thread with interest because I just started construction of a 55 gal corner tank. I'm going a glass front, and plywood the rest of the way. Guess I'll epoxy the thing, and forget the fiberglass idea.
I know I can get a corner tank of roughly the same dimensions I'm looking for cheaper, but I am going custom for the fun of it, and to have a piece of furnature that matches the rest of the room. All visible woodwork is being done in cherry, and I want the back 5" free at the back to run the plumbing completly out of sight. I can't wait for my friend to finish the woodwork so I can get started on the plumbing and electrical work, and build the sump.
