2.5 gal tank question

Yea I have the same sand but where did you get the dwarf chain sword? Do you put any ferts in that tank?

I got mine in a trade or a RAOK I can't remember it has been so long.

I just started using ferts/excel more to help the stems than anything else. They had a little mineral loss and I was seeing if it made a difference or not. The Hair algae I actually encourage a little bit for the snails.

That picture was before any ferts added and I really haven't noticed much difference but it has only been a week or so. I have had to thin out the tank 3 times that I can remember in the last 9+ months.

All plants you see started from a single plant.

Ok I got the nano filter and I really like it! Though the tank came with a glass cover and now it does not fit cause of the filiter. What should I do?

No it not a versatop. Its just a piece of glass.

Oh, well I'm not really sure what you can do then...the only that would come to mind would be to cut the glass.

IMO black sand looks the best in a planted tank

And I don't keep the glass on the top of mine.

Or take it to a local glass shop an let them cut it for ya.

Black Sand, or why not black gravel? It's even better for the plants and looks just as good.

Because "black" gravel is usually painted. Sand isn't
