I am loving these little showcase tanks, they are so artful, ....I want one!! no, wait, three....
 
Crown Molding definately wont work because of the issue of having to attach to two surfaces. Here's what I think you shold do, ad I'll probably later do :)
Cut a rectangular peice of plywood slightly larger than the tank, then attach the first thing of trim, alont the outside of the plywood ( if it was plywood, it would be where you can see the layers.

You would want the plywood to be the same thichness of the trim, unless you wanted to see if the trim could hold 20 on its own. Then place the second peice of plywood, on the edges of the plywood. If you do this and measure correctly, you will have enough access to put your tank in.

PROGRESS!!

today i bought some acrylic and made my top of the aquarium, custom made to fit my filter, here is some pics!!!!!

more progress to come tomorrow when Smartdog126 comes over were building the canopy!

oh yea i forgot to mention that, i ordered one of those adhesive handles from the other All Glass Aquarium Tops, i also ordered 30' of Glass Hinge so i can make half of it open!!
