I just picked up a 2.5 gallon tank because I broke down my 20Long and I needed a place to put my red cherries. Right now all I have is 7 red cherry shrimp in the tank. Anybody have ideas on what they would make this tank?

are you planning on moving the shrimp to another tank at some point? if so, you could go with a betta in the lil 2.5 gal. I wouldn't do anything else as far as tankmates, just not enough room.

I am really not sure what Im gonna do, Id like to have it as a planted cherry tank but would like a fish as well. There are very few fish selections when dealing with such a small tank. I was at the lfs and saw some baby cardinal tetras which Id be able to have 3 for a couple months (but then again they are a schooling fish) I also thought of a guppy pair just to add color. Not too sure about the betta. Thank you
make it a invert tank. planted with the top ring removed.

Im going to the LFS later on today to pick up some plants and Ill definitely look into the moss wall that would look pretty sweet. Thanks for the help.
Couldnt make it to the store today but will tomorrow. Im probably going to lightly plant it for the red cherries.
