I recently I aquired a 2.5 gallon glass tank. I dunno if it's got any real use, but since I have it I think I'm going to use it as a quarantine tank for new fish. Even then I wonder if it would be too small.

Any idea what would be the best use for such a small tank?

My concerns is that there would be even less room if a heater and filter is added.

Depends what size fish you have to isolate. You can buy little 3-5gallon filters that are quite small and take up minmal space. There are also small, slim heaters out there to purchase too.

You could also make the tank into a shrimp tank, African Dwarf Frog tank, or snails, maybe even a betta if you'd like.

I personally would keep it as a QT. You'll never know when you'll need one.
