hey im starting a 2.5 gallon tank . what kind of fish dat i can put in there :thm:

best I can think of would be a betta, and thats about it. there are other fish that would do well, but they are hard to find/take care of, so I don't reccomend them.

thanx guys

You could also go with just a male and female cherry barb. They are pretty hardy fish and have a very nice redish color to them. They grow to about 1 1/2 inches in size. They do though require to have some plants for hiding.

can a 2.5 do fine with some shrimp

yes. in fact, I think that would be the best thing to do with it, and what i'd do with it if it was mine.

i think a betta and maby some ghost shrimp, you cant put a male and a female cherry barb in,you need about 3 to 4 females per male or else there will be a lot of fin nipping and harrasing.i have a betta in a 2.5 gal with 2 ghost shrimp and a very small heater and corner filter(set on low)with a couple water sprite plants.its a pretty tank for something so little.hope this helps :D

can i keep sum killies or endler?

my recommendation would be a Spiketail Paradise Fish (Pseudophromenus dayi). They're cute, eventually interactive (once they trust you) and hardy. Also, none of your pals will probably have one . . .

Usually in the $6 range, from my experience.

Also, they aren't as generic as most run-of-the-mill betta.

You can also get them pretty readily on-line. Aim for a male, throw in some hardy plants, maybe a couple pygmy cories (if you can find them) or some shrimp and make sure the tank is covered.

At least take a look at these lil' guys . . . I think they're a blast . . .

Kev.
