I am leaning towards the dario dario. I remember reading about them in the past and I'm pretty sure I still have a lot of information on them around here somewhere. Those killifish are really attractive too though.

Does that scarlet badis require live food? I've kept Badis badis, which are really fun and change their markings by the minute, but they really wanted live food- they'd usually not even eat frozen!

Since most of the killies live in puddles, they ship very well. Most of the U.S. AKA members ship pairs or trios for $5 first pair, $0.50 each addtl. It's worth joining the AKA to try 'em! What's really funny is getting eggs through the mail. With some of the species, the eggs need to dry out for 6- 9 months before you try to hatch them. Nothobranchius are like that:

Agreed...I do all my killies (all Nothos) in 2-5 gallon tanks. In fact, I will be hatching some of those N. korthausae this weekend.

If you look at their site, under "the fish", "F&EL" is the fish and egg listing. The august one is up right now.
Here's the deal on delivery: standard, live delivery isn't guaranteed from Nov through Mar. Shipping has gone up to $8 in the last couple months, but that's still a lot cheaper than what you pay when buying live-delivery fish through aquabid! This is mostly because killies are "tough" fish that can stand up to shipping.
