2 blood parrots?

quick question guys...i picked up 2 BP's from my LFS..they are beautiful! they are about 5" a piece..and were in the tank together when purchased.

I've noticed it seems like one is picking on the other. For example they both like the same hiding spot...but if one is in it..the other one will literally push it out of there.

same with food..the one will push the other one out of the way to get the food.

any advise? thanks

they are cichlids and can be agressive, how big is your tank?

Likely too small for both in the long run. If I am not mistaken they still have some growing to do as well...I believe 7-8" is the normal length. Do you have any other inhabitants?

yea...i have a school of 10 tiger barbs...they don't seem to pick on the BP's at all
then 4 neon tetras (i know..possibly lunch, not yet though) and 2 mollys

I too think that maybe the tank is too small. I have two in my 120 and they have really grown!!
