ok i have a 30 long right now with just some small cherry shrimp. Here is my newest dilema.. Should i get rid of these few shrimp i have in order to get apistogramma or angel fish ( or anything else for that matter)? If i keep them then ill end up getting some cories, rasboras, you know, the usual.. And maybe some crs or a nicer breed of shrimp.. Im stuck as far as what to do.. whats your advice? I might be able to have both because i have THICK moss in my tank, but i kinda feel bad for the shrimp that will most likely die.. especially with angels... Thanx for helping a confused kid out...

i would keep the shrimp they are awesome and angels would like a bigger tank so they would look better.

Apistos shouldn't be much of a problem. I wouldn't put an angel in a tank that small anyway (though the most common suggestion is a 30g minimum).

I would keep the shrimp and just add a large school of small fish. Though I'm probably biased because I'm a big fan of small fish. Aquascape that tank and give it a good iwagumi feature! Those are gorgeous :-)

leave it as is for now and try to get a colony of shrimp established. even spall peaceful fish will predate the shrimp (or at least their young). If you wait say two months you should have a decent colony of shrimp and from there you could put in the more peaceful fish and it's no great loss when a shrimp / shrimplet goes missing.
