Ok so yesterday i did my weekly water changes on my 2.5 gallon rcs tank, it has about 7 rcs and a bunch of ramshorn snails, i knew one of my rcs had that saddle thing and was ready to breed, now she has yellow eggs under her tail!

i can't quite tell if there still in her tail or outside her tail, how long till they hatch?

2nd question- are these ramshorn snail eggs on my glass?? ill include pics of my rcs and of the possible Ramshorn eggs

1 - your shrimp is now berried -- congrats! I'm pretty sure it will take about 3 weeks for the eggs to hatch -- it's really cool to watch as the days go by. She'll keep carrying them around fanning them and little by little they change until one day they hatch into the tiniest shrimp you could dream of.

2 - yes, those are ramshorns eggs. Congrats again -- you have a fertile tank :)

its not that its too big, but I really think in time you have difficulty maintaining a stable tank with the RCS as they multiply and the need for good vacs because of hte bridgesii snail. Ideally, each adult snail would have about that much tank space on its own. For now it might work, but it could prove to be difficult to keep stable and clean.

Thanks, I think as it gets closer to when the baby rcs hatch I'll move him to my 5 gallon tank
