You have my favorite plant, Narfur Japonica aka Spatterdock. (That's the one with big leaves) Lovely plant, though watch out; it can be a tank buster in time. My N.Japonica is more prized to me then most of my fish! I'd call it semi-rare.

The first is very dark and I only make out one little part. Looks like a bolbitus fern.

Nope. I can guarentee that's a N.Japonica. The leaves are semi-translucent and it has a large rhyzome right?

N. Japonica and a bolbitis fern. I think you are correct.
