2 quick pics of my nano

I have just come back from a very local, informal frag swap slash meet and greet. There were a lot of nice people there, and some of them promised to give me some macro algae, so I'll be getting mine for FREE. I was also promised some snails, and given lots of good advice on topics ranging from LFS's to

I had a blast even though I was the newbie-est of everyone there and also the youngest.

sounds like a great meeting to get info, and meet fellow aquarists. i wish my area had one hehe.

Yesterday I bought four pounds of cured fiji LR from my new favorite SW specialty store. Also, since my cycle seemed complete, my mother who was visiting me at school bought me an emerald crab and a scarlet cleaner shrimp.

I think the guy I dealt with was the owner of the store. He seemed to know his stuff and was very friendly. I mentioned my plans for my refugium, and he gave me a large clump of chaetomorpha for free! I'm definitely going back to him when it's time for clowns (they arrive Wednesday but I think that's a bit early). I'm torn between true and false percs...

I bought a cheap desk lamp on clearance at Target for $2 and a 15 watt PC compact bulb for it. It's a very warm color bulb (3000k? it looks like an incandescent) but for now it's going to have to serve as lighting for my fuge. I didn't have time to order anything fancy.

Here's the tank after aquascaping, take two.

I really need a book about aquascaping, cause I definitely need to improve the aquascape before my tank is ready to show off to people. Any of you guys know a good book about it?
