Would it be safe to put those three fish together in a 10 gallon? They are in seperate tanks right now but im somewhat afraid of the agressiveness of both. The tank will be somewhat planted (java fern, sword, anubias and a small crypt).

I would just get a school of about 6 tiger barbs. their aggression is heightened the fewer there are.
The barbs will make the gourami's life miserable.
You know those long fin type things that hang from a gourami?
They won't be there for long with the tiger barbs around. Tiger barbs are notorious fin nippers.
Normally for TB's you need a school to disperse the aggression. With only 2 and in a small tank. They will be quite a pest to that gourami and the gourami will probably never get a moments peace.

in groups of 5 or 6 tigerbarbs school together and only fight amoungst themselves. I had several battles and none of the ever netted so much as a torn fin.
