2 year old daughter

No I'm sorry I had brackish tank like 10 years ago. I had it for about a year and then all of a sudden overnight the went nuts. Shark and Shrimp? were the only ones left. I haven't had a tank since.
Oh, sorry about that.
Just bought 56 gallon (high) tank for me and my daughter. What kind of fish should I get. My daughter will be banging on glass so I don't want fish that will get spooked. Any ideas?
If you're still planning for a brackish water community, my suggestion is just on page 5.:) What else do you have in mind?

if you get the golden barb make sure its not the golden tinfoil barb it will grow as much as the red tail tin foil barb

the Tin foil barb and Red tail Tinfoil barb look allot alike but one grows to about 14 inches and the other 8 the store i bought my fish from had him labeled wrong so its always good to double check.
Nice list by the way

IDEAS PLEASE

Just bought 56 gallon (high) tank for me and my daughter. What kind of fish should I get. My daughter will be banging on glass so I don't want fish that will get spooked.
For my daughter I need fish that will not get spooked easily
I'm sure my wife is all about the looks
And for me I want a fish with personality thats not super aggressive but one that will eat a guppy or insect every other week.
Any suggestions for a fish that meets all of our requirements?

Please help I am going to pet store soon and I don't want to rely on their advice only.
I would love to hear from other people on this forum

a tall 56 would be a great tank for angels , koi angels get tall and when they get large will eat small fish , interesting to watch . tank mates should obviously larger so as not to get eaten . rummynose tetras would be a good schooling fish to go with them .

how about a nice school of cory cats , preferably 6 or more of the same species . then an addition of a smaller pleco like the L18 gold nugget . it should make for an interesting tank and something for everyone .

the hard part about stocking a tank slowly is making a planned stock and sticking to it .

Thanks a lot looks like a good combo. Pleco is actually the coolest I bet the hard to find in stores though
