I currently setted up a new 20 gallon tall freshwater tank. It has been cycling for about 2 weeks now and I am still trying to think of what kind of fish to put in it. Anyone have any suggestion?

Is there any certain one you are interested in? Any certain colors and/or personalities?

If I had a twenty gallon, I would certainly go for a pair of blue rams, though you should probably wait until your tank is really established, since they are quite sensitve.

I would also get a group of grouping fishes, like harlequins or rummy nosed or glowline tetras or whatever your preferences are.

Tetras? Plates? What sort of fish do you like? Look threw the fish profiles, post a few names and we will go from here.
Maybe a community aquarium with some tetras, barbs, or any other small compatible fishes.

There are some great tetras avilable. Rummy nose are great if you can find them. Cardinals are quite hardy and fun and very colorful. Black neon tetras are very cool. Lemon tetras can be beautiful as well. Harlequinn rasboras are nifty fish in their own right. If you are going for small community fish, cherry barbs are the best barb choice in my opinion. Also, if you are into small schooling fish, look into pygmy corydoras catfish. They stay small and school in the lower to middle portions of the tank. They'd be an excellent compliment to a middle to top schooler like some tetras. If you kept the two schools small, you might get away with a small showfish, like a single betta or dwarf gourami. Anyway, there are some ideas for you to consider!

I always suggest that you go to the store where you will buy the fish, see what you like, then come home and do some research, or post on here. I was disappointed when I went to my LFS in search of some of the fish that are mentioned on here all the time and couldn't find any of them  !! But if you get set on a particular kind, you can always order them, whether they are in stock at a store or not
