I'm setting up a 20 gal long with sand and wondering if anyone has good suggestions for fellas that would enjoy the substrate?

I was thinking some cories and ADF's would enjoy it

I'd like a pl*co but I dont' think there are any SMALL enough as adults to be in there.

I could always go cichlid too. Keep a couple rams with a small school.

Anyways......... I'll be doing research but just wondering if anyone had a good stock suggestion since it is a wide open tank. :D

You know my answer: Appppiiiiiisssssttttooooogggrrraammmmmmmaaaaaa!

My panduro female is getting ready to spawn again. Maybe I'll get some freeswimming fry this time eh?

yah I've heard that about them and also Gold nuggets don't get very big but I feel a 20 gal would still be cramped for the fellas.......... I will research them more though. Thanks!

Well, your opinion is more important than mine...but honestly my plecos don't swim around a whole lot. I have three in my 40 gallon breeder tank, and usually they just stick on a wall or on a decoration. I've never seen them take advantage of the 3 foot length of the tank and actually swim...so, I guess what I'm saying, I don't think one 5 or 6in pleco would be crammed in a 20 gallon, as long as it's long and not high. High, ehh...I could see that being a little iffy.

rams are cool, I have kuhli loaches in mine also and theyre bunches of fun. If you went that route, put a few descent sized rocks around the glass and theyll hide between the glass and rocks all day.

I also think apistogramas are a great idea.

appisto's would be the way to go!
