i have shrimp in my 20 gallon with 2 gbr's and the shrimp rarely get picked on. But i guess each fish is different.

Going to hold up on getting a centerpiece fish for now. Especially if am getting a ram. Want to have the best possible chance for the ram since most people would say they need a matured tank.

I have a bolivian ram. Awesome fish may i add! but i would be wary with putting shrimp with rams of any kind since rams seem to lurk at the bottom where the shrimp would be. The ram could possibly make a nice snack out of shrimp. When you get the ram in with the shrimp let us know how it goes! how are the anubias petite doing?

Jungle tanks are the best!! The more plants you have, the more they out-compete algae for nutrients

2 Java fern [received Lace Java fern(windelov)]
2 cryptocoryne wendtii red(got 5 rooted plants)
2 cryptocoryne retrospiralis or spiralis (got 3 spiralis)
2 Anacharis reg or narrow leaf
1 Marimo ball (asked for substitution got dwarf hairgrass, Yes!)
1 Med. Amazon Sword(received 2)
