hey not to be a pain but you really should put some female guppies in the tank male guppies will start fighting because there are no females

I researched this because I was worried about fighting - from what I've read, it's okay to keep the males together as long as there aren't any females or if there is a proper male to female ratio.

I will keep an eye out for aggression, but it should be okay.

and it can't hurt to have a few plants.

For the most part, I'd agree, but plants will definitely benefit any aquarium.

Well, it's been a week and my ammonia levels are .25 or less - My tap water has .25 to begin with. Nitrite are Nitrate levels are zero.

My three fish are happy, eating well and swimming all over the tank so I guess I'm doing okay!

I got new lights - two 15 watt life glow blubs. MUCH brighter than the incandesent bulbs I had before. The difference is amazing. Hopefully these two bulbs will be enough for the plants I have.

Nice! btw, plants will readily use any source of nitrogen available.
