I still see no reason for the poor little fish to suffer because humans are greed and dumb. I'll never get them twice, but I do wish to make their lives a tad bit easier for the fish's sake, no one elses. TBH, I don't like how people can be so fish-friendly towards, say, Yellow Labs, but then turn around and say another species of fish should be destroyed and hated simply because it's not natural. Nothing about our hobby is "natura;" (we have fish in glass boxes with artificial lights, how natural is that?). Anyway, I wasn't really asking for your to tell me not to, I was thinking aloud. But you can be as opinionated as you wish, i just won't listen (I am immobile on the subject, give up now)
Whatever floats your boat. Just know you're contributing to more and more poor deformed creatures being created. Fish so deformed that they often have many health issues and cannot swim properly. Doesn't sound like much of a life to me. But if that's what you like that is your right to support that.
Most of us bend over backwards to create as natural a habitat for our fish as possible, testing their water, providing plants and driftwood and rock caves so they feel secure. Much of the aquarium hobby is about conservation and preservation of different species, many fish species have been saved from extinction because they were bred in captivity, such as Celestial Pearl Danios (though it could be argued that their numbers were so low in the wild because they were being over-harvested for the aquarium trade, it can also be argued that their successful breeding in captivity lowered the demand for wild-caught fish, allowing their wild population to rebound)
Hybrids and deformed fish degenerate and pollute the gene pool of natural fish, and many times cause the fish itself to be so deformed it can hardly function, such as the case with blood parrots and fancy goldfish. It's just as bad as tattooing fish, which has been boycotted by most of the people on this site for years.
Yes, we love our fish, and we do our utmost of make sure they are happy and healthy. Hybrids and deformed fish detract from this ideal, catering to the people who just want something cute they can throw in a bowl and forget about, as well as polluting the gene pool and causing impure strains of fish species until it's almost impossible to determine what they are.

Now, I could bring up a load of arguments that involve all sorts of animals humans have domesticated and thus intentionaly changed from their natural appearance (Milk Cows, many dog species, cats, horses, pretty much everything we've domesticated has been mutated and breed for traits we find desirable, which often weakens the line in other manners) but I'm going to drop it. You have your way, I have mine. No reason we can't co-exist. Anyhow, ballon mollies are surprsingly hard to find in my area, may not be able to get them (not going to the store I know has them, they're appalling...), so it could end up being a moot point.
I'm not going to get into the balloon debate, but I can't wait to see your tacky tank! One of these days I have to take a pic of my 7 year old's tank. It's a 20 long with a Bikini Bottom theme; it's got blue gravel, Spongebob's pineapple home, Squidward's home, the Krusty Krab, etc. Kids just love it!
lol, sounds like a fun tank! I'm still on the lookout for a bubble volcano, if anyone has one up for grabs... 
You know what? I feel the same way about the deformed bizzare cats and dogs as I do about deformed fish. Selective breeding for color or other normal characteristics like size, coat pattern, temperament, being good at a given task such as herding, etc. are all fine in my oppinion. But purposly deforming them because you think it's cute, any animal, is wrong and disgusting.
