whoa buddy , 2 x 55w ona 2 gallon tank lol thats like 5.5 wpg, i would say if ya go with a AH supply light ya would just need a single bulb 55w kit for 2.25wpg
The Hagen GLO T5 fixtures are decent, but that's really about it. Mine has only one reflector for both bulbs, and no power switch! A buddy gave it to me along with a timer so I don't have to unplug it every time I want to turn it off.
I will say this though: The fixture my friend gave me is the 24 inch GLO with 2 24W bulbs. I am currently using it over a 45 gallon tank (36" x 12" x 24"). Even though the tank is 2 feet deep and the fixture is 6 inches too short on either side of the tank, I have had great success with the plants in there. My point is, if you put 48W of T5 light over a 20 gallon, it's going to be a LOT of light even though the wattage doesn't sound that high. I'd expect that you will definitely need CO2 and ferts.
