2010 Winter Olympics

They got the last laugh...
Great game once again.

*sigh*

Good game. Too bad it didn't come out the right way...

It came out just the way it was supposed to ... :)

Congratz to both teams, it was one hell of a game.

nothing better than seeing the best of the best giving it their all to get to the top. . .

the US team was stronger than I thought they'd be. . .

just not strong enough. ;)

Anyone watch the closing ceremonies? I enjoyed it. . I love how they used the biggest canadian stereotypes, and use them to playfully laugh at themselves.

only thing that bugged me were the bands that played. . . .

Neil young was great! While I didn't mind seeing Alanis, even Avril Lavigne, I had to leave the room when Nickelback, Hedley, and Simple Plan got on the stage!

Heck, what happened to the tragically hip, Sam roberts, Rush, Arcade Fire, etc etc etc !

then again, at least they didn't put Celine on the setlist!!!

rush would have been a good choice.

At least it was decided in overtime.

At least my goalie got mvp :headbang2:

Well.... I watched the hockey game on the edge of my seat... leaping in the air.... hovering near the screen.... pacing back and forth... fists beating the air.... jumping up and down.... hooting .... hollering... what a game... and at 24 seconds... that goal.... awesome...

I had an ice cold beer or two.... a hockey game has to have beer.... and I thought I'd be lifting it in celebration... instead.... I was crying in it....

Oh well, since hockey is a religion up there in the frozen tundra I guess I can survive this.
I wouldn't want to hear of mass suicides: hoards of distraught Canadians pouring, like Lemmings, over the cliffs and into the roiling sea.

Neither would I want to be hearing that there has been a sudden loss of good manners in shopkeepers or innkeepers towards hapless American tourists; Canadians so hurt and lost that they stop saying thank you, please, you're welcome, excuse me, or I'm sorry.... oh the horror.

I suppose I can move on, I'll raise my head up knowing that, by our tragic loss, a Nation of fragile, desperate hockey fans has been lifted up, has been restored, has regained its storied joie de vivre, and once again the faithful can worship their Canadian hockey gods in the ecstasy they truly do deserve.

Besides, Brenden Morrow is the captain of MY hockey team: the Dallas Stars. I'm very happy for him and proud of the job he did for his team Canada.
