Hi all. I'd like to do a 20g catfish tank and would like some suggestions for stocking decor etc. I was thinking mostly upside down cats and a bristlenose or two?

A 20 gallon is a bit small for upside-down cats (I presume you mean Synodontis nigriventris.) They're social fish, best kept in groups, and really need more swimming space than a 20.

Cory cats are better suited to a 20, particularly the dwarf species, and would be more active/visible anyway. S. nigriventris are nocturnal, rarely move around much during the daytime.
A group of tetras or fairly peaceful barbs (not tiger barbs or closely related species) would work in a 20. That size tank is too small for most cichlids other than dwarfs like Apisto's or multi's.
Smaller livebearers or seasonal killifish would also work in a 20.
A single BN or pair would be alright, at least until the fry overrun the tank...

Corys and BN plecos are nice. You could also go with a smaller species of bumble bee cats.

i like the bumblebee cats. they dart around alot, but theyre always hiding :/

I guess that depends on the fish, the ones i have now are always out and about.

I think cories would be great for a 20g. I would get something for the top like a betta. I have a female betta right now with cories and loving her :D
