Really enjoyed this thread and am looking forward to more pics. Nicely done and keep up the awesome work.
they're doing great. the rasbora have claimed their center spot, and the juvy cherry barbs all stick together. it's the shrimp that are the most entertaining in this so far, they're really active, and come out in swarms at times, for no apparent reason, and then return to safer grazing. the amanos are almost terrors in the tank. they steal from everyone and are rather punchy about it. the CRS are forced to actually fight back sometimes. it's wild to watch.
I'm in the process of planning out my first riparium - I really want to find a way to incorporate some cork.
cork is perfect for riparium, for many reasons, but keep in mind it floats! I've been considering making hanging baskets with cork faces for riparium-like settings. it would be easy with a silverware sink strainer and a small piece of cork.
the shots on page 1 look soooo good, the cork reminds me of the cliffs from the opening sequence of Half-life
