I've been staring at this for 2 days waiting for the water to clear... not quite happy with the planting as is, and also looking to add a lot more plants... a few should be arriving tomorrow.
also, should add that I want to reduce the flow from the spray bar quite a bit too. the fish in there now seem ok with it, but future fish on the list seem like they'd be better off with a slower moving system.
Wow ! Looks great, mellow. I like the black substrate with the cork & the plants really pop.
I see cherry barbs & rasboras, what else are you planning? I thought you were doing inverts or do I see a shrimp?

There are 4 fully mature, hulking harlequin rasbora, 8 mature cherry barbs, and 3 juvy cherry barbs in the tank now. and there's a ton of mts that came with the seed gravel, 2 nerites from msjinxd, 4 amanos and probably 25-30 crs in there... just all hiding. I'd like to remove at least 4 of the adult cherry barbs.
as far as additions, I'd like to maybe add a bamboo shrimp once the tank has matured a bit, and once i liberate a few cherry barbs, I'd like to add either a pair of honey dwarf gourami or an sae or a panda garra. I haven't decided yet. realistically, the gourami would be the easiest to mix in I think. or rather, I worry about the sae or garra outgrowing the tank.

I agree, SAE will outgrow the tank, garra needs too much current for the other fish but maybe not the shrimp.
