My 20G is looking for some new inhabitants. There is currently a small pl#co, who will be moving out in about 2 months. Here is the only problem, the tank was home to a dozen neons. Some who had what we think was NTD. That was about 2 months ago. Since then it has only been the pl#co and some snails.

I am up to trying something new. We have cichlids, bettas, ottos, pl#cos, and neons (in many different tanks of course). So, suggestions for new fish would be great. Probably won't be able to house any characins in this tank for a while due to the possibility of NTD.

Thanks

a pair of dwrf gouramies would be a nice addition plus maybe a trio of corys.
would a group of swordtail sound nice?
lots of choice

how about 2 bolivian rams along with a few cory's and maybe a pair of platy's or swordtails?

The rams are beautiful fish, the corys will keep everything clean.. and the livebearers will be fun to watch, plus keep the rams fed if they ever had fry!

You will be able to house characins if you take down the setup and disinfect it, but you may not want to go through the hassle of cycling it again. there are plenty of fish other than characins - if you want a school of something, get 8-10 harlequins. they'd be good with some dwarf cichlids, maybe a 'larger' mid level fish like gouramis, and some bottom dwellers. Apistos and kribs may harrass cories, but then again may not, and the cories will quickly learn to avoid them, so they can be compatible.

icecubez189, if all your fish died in the past week, you probably have bigger problems than choosing the next lot ;). I suggest you find out what went wrong and make sure your tank is cycled before adding anything else.
